Schneider National Inc. introduced a new Intermodal solution – Mexico Express – in June to deliver greater capacity and faster service between the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and Mexico.

Through a contract with Kansas City Southern, Kansas City Southern de México and Norfolk Southern, Schneider National customers gain priority access to up to 120 loads per day north and south of the border.
Since inception, Mexico Express has attracted both new and existing customers and has achieved consistent growth in volume week over week. Schneider is the first truckload carrier to offer such cross-border services; this is the second intermodal offering from the company in six months.
To date, Schneider has successfully turned the Mexico Express train into its fastest intermodal lane for freight delivery across the border to Mexico City; San Luis Potosí; Guadalajara, Jalisco; the Bajio region (including Guanajuato and Querétaro); and Monterrey, Nuevo León – Mexico's prime industrial center.
With the Mexico Express line customers benefit from transit times that both rival over-the-road transportation and beat traditional intermodal delivery between Mexico and the United States. Because freight is pre-cleared at the ramp prior to departure, customers avoid border-crossing delays in Laredo and can move freight into Mexico more quickly.
