KLLM Transport Services, based in Richland, Miss., held its annual Million Mile Safe Driver Banquet late last month, honoring those drivers who have driven 1 million or more accident-free miles during their tenure with KLLM.

This year’s class included 33 drivers who reached the 1 million mile safe driving plateau during 2006. They included Stephen Bowerman, Ray Bray, Paul Brownlee, Roberta Bruce, Bartley Caldwell, Janice Cole, Ward Cooley, Cathrine Craigmile, William Drevecky, Doug Evans, Bill Fambro, Michael Huff and Melvin Johnson.
Also, Steven Jones, Gary Kiefer, Cathleen Kiefer, Pal Kolek, Todd Maestretti, Jerry McNair, John Melton, Walter Minor, Richard Mullins, Cedric Myers, Ian Narita, Sergio Ramos, John Scott, Joann Seals, Elmer Swann, Felton Thompson, Alton Toucheck, Walter Tucker, John Turman, Terry Wilcox.
Two drivers – John L. Lee and Jim Piper – were honored for reaching 2 million safe driving miles. Nancy S. Oxner reached the 3 million-mile mark. KLLM's fleet now contains over 170 active million-mile drivers.
To recognize their accomplishment, KLLM presented each driver with a ring, a leather garment bag, a leather jacket, a cap and million-miler attire with million-mile logos. In addition, KLLM equips each million-miler truck with special decals.
