Schneider National Inc. and The Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech announced they are hosting the fourth annual transportation and logistics thought leadership event at the epicenter of the shifting global supply chain.

This year's event, titled "Driving the Global Economy through China," will be held in Shanghai, China, Oct. 23 through 25.
"As the Chinese economy continues its emergence as a trade superpower, the global marketplace must rapidly and strategically adapt its supply chain in order to take advantage of China's extensive manufacturing capabilities," said Dan Van Alstine, senior vice president enterprise sales, Schneider National Inc. "Those who attend the conference will benefit from a wide range of industry-specific presentations, tours of ports and airfreight operations, special events and networking functions as part of this invaluable three-day learning event."
Targeted at senior executives and those who manage global shipping, transportation and logistics operations, attendees will: gain insight into China's governmental and regulatory workings and the government's vision for economic and infrastructure developments; learn best practices for handling transpacific supply chain needs in China from some of the world's most admired supply chain leaders; network with international logistics leaders and peers facing similar supply chain challenges; and take advantage of unique opportunities to experience Chinese culture and business first-hand.
