TravelCenters of America (TA) recently rebuilt its travel center in New Haven, Conn. Located on I-95 at Exit 56, TA New Haven now features a contemporary look that sets it apart from the ordinary highway truckstop.

The new design includes a 35-foot-tall pylon with the TA logo, accented by a red neon arch and “welcome” sign. The exterior also features upgraded lighting, improved parking lots and a new motorist entrance.
The TA New Haven site offers a food court with seating for 75, where customers can choose between Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits and Subway sandwiches. Starbucks is scheduled to open at the site in mid-September.
In addition, a well-stocked 3,400-square-foot travel store offers a selection of brand-name beverages, snacks and travel products. Visitors will find everything they need from gifts and souvenirs to electronics and driver supplies. Also, brand new to the travel store is TA’s Café Express. This new "grab and go" food and beverage concept offers customers a wider selection of gourmet coffees, cappuccinos and hot chocolates as well as fresh, high-quality food choices.
One new coffee choice designed specifically for drivers is TA Extreme – actually dubbed by drivers as "the 500-mile coffee" – a highly caffeinated, dark roast gourmet blend available only at TA locations.
Professional drivers will find that TA New Haven continues to cater to their truck repair and maintenance needs. Featuring a two-bay truck service center that is open 24-hours, seven days a week, ASE-certified technicians work hard to keep trucks running. Other conveniences include six diesel dispensers, 100-space truck parking area, emergency road service, a lounge area with game room and seven luxury marble-tiled showers. The facility is also WiFi enabled throughout the property.
