The Monroe County Fairgrounds in Monroe, Mich., marked the beginning of the 2006 National Association of Show Trucks (NAST) Truck-Lite trophy series.

The 3rd annual Great Lakes Truck Show Rumble by the River, held July 14-16, showcased nearly 30 show trucks as well as eight wash and park participants from all over the United States vying for bragging rights and top awards. The event included a parade each night through the small town of Ida, Mich., just minutes from the fairgrounds.
NAST handed out several rewards for best of show in several classes and divisions. The Truck-Lite Trophy Series Qualifier and $500 cash from this event went to Truck-Lite Bob & Shelley Brinker and the 1st Alternative to MBH Trucking, shown by Rick Hitchcock.
All working trucks entered into competition at Truck-Lite Trophy Series events are eligible to qualify for competition in the National Championship Finals (aka the Truck-Lite Trophy Series Finals). Only one truck will qualify at each event. The finals will be held at The Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville in March of 2007.
The next Truck-Lite Trophy Qualifier Event and $500 cash award will be held this Thursday through Sunday at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. For more information, contact Chuck Kemner, executive director for NAST, at (863) 605-1608 or visit www.nastshowtrucks.com.
