BorgWarner Thermal Systems fans and fan drives will be standard equipment on all Freightliner Class 8 trucks, beginning Jan. 1, 2007. The three-year agreement between Freightliner and BorgWarner Thermal Systems will provide customers
with a value-added product design.
Freightliner Class 8 trucks will be equipped with the Kysor On/Off fan drive, which features dynamic torque capacity, resulting in improved cooling capability. The trucks will also use the new X-Series fan from BorgWarner, which enables Freightliner's heavy-duty vehicles to meet the North American emissions standards while at the same time optimizing cooling performance.
