TravelCenters of America (TA) has introduced its new “Grab and Go” food and beverage concept called TA Café Express for roll-out across its nationwide network of interstate travel centers.

The new concept, which is currently open in nearly 70 TA locations, features a wide selection of gourmet coffees, cappuccinos and hot chocolates as well as fresh, high-quality “grab and go” food choices.
One new coffee choice designed specifically for professional drivers is TA Extreme – actually dubbed by drivers as “the 500-mile coffee” – a highly caffeinated, dark roast gourmet blend available only at TA locations. The new offerings are available in a newly remodeled and efficient layout that allows drivers to refresh, refuel and quickly return to the road.
“Our new coffees range in strength and flavor choice from the caffeine-packed TA Extreme to the Colombian Gourmet Decaf. We are now better able to serve any driver’s needs by offering the highest-quality coffee on America’s highways,” said Ara Bagdasarian, vice president of store marketing. “And they can be sure it’s always fresh because we’ve invested in the coffee beans, equipment and training.”
Aligned with the national demand for finer coffees, the cornerstone of the new TA Café Express is an expanded array of coffee choices suited to virtually any taste – including Colombian Gourmet (House Blend), European Select (Darker Roast), Colombian Gourmet Decaf and our signature TA Extreme (Dark Roast, Highly Caffeinated) – as well as flavored cappuccinos, gourmet hot-chocolates and boxed teas.
Coffee isn’t the only area where drivers will have more choices. TA Café Express locations also offer more quality food selections including Pierre’s hot sandwiches, fresh deli sandwiches made on site, and an expanded assortment of hot foods and roller grill products.
The TA Café Express concept is currently being rolled out throughout the network of 162 TA locations in 40 states and Canada. The rollout is targeted for completion in 2007 with three to four sites opening each week.
