DENSO Corp. said it will build a new facility on the premises of its Agui Plant located in Agui-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi prefecture, Japan.

DENSO ELECS Co. Ltd., a wholly owned company by DENSO, will transfer its headquarters and electronic product manufacturing plant from the DENSO Takatana Plant in Anjo, Aichi prefecture to the new facility.
The building area will be 12,800 square meters and the total building investment will be approximately $19 million.
“With this move, all of DENSO ELECS functions will be centered at the Agui Plant, including the existing production facilities for industrial robots,” said Masatoshi Ano, senior managing director in charge of DENSO's Corporate and Administration Centers.
Construction of the new facility is set to start in July and be completed in March 2007. Production of electronic products including bar-code readers, IC card readers, and programmable controllers is scheduled to start in May 2007.
