Spokane, Wash.-based TW Transport Inc. has announced a new pay package for company drivers in addition to their current mileage pay and benefits.

Effective immediately, drivers will be paid $13 an hour when they arrive for their scheduled appointment time until they are completely loaded and/or empty. Any waiting a driver must do will be done on the clock.
“Our drivers’ time is valuable. We took some of the guesswork out of the pay package and have decided to pay drivers for everything they do, including waiting,” said Jeff Benesch, director of Driver Services and Personnel.
TW Transport recently focused on drivers in Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona, allowing them to get home more often than ever before. The company also offers an owner-operator package that pays for all fuel.
“We want our owner-operators successful,” Benesch said. “By taking the guesswork and worry out of the instability of the fuel industry, our owner-operators can concentrate on maximizing miles and income and let us worry about fuel prices,”
TW Transport also pays license, HVUT and insurance fees.
