Rush Enterprises Inc., which operates the largest network of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck dealerships in North America and a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston,
Texas, announced it has acquired certain assets of Great Southern Peterbilt Inc.'s Peterbilt and Hino truck dealership in Jacksonville, Fla.
This acquisition provides Rush with the rights to sell Peterbilt and Hino trucks and parts in Jacksonville and provides Rush Enterprises with its fifth location in Florida.
The net cost of this acquisition to Rush was approximately $22.3 million, with the purchase price paid in cash. Rush will continue to operate the dealership at its current location as a full-service Rush Truck Center offering a full line of Peterbilt heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, Hino medium-duty trucks, parts, service and body shop operations.
