Dart Transit Co. has announced mileage pay increases for a third consecutive year.
The pay hikes, which take effect on April 1 and Oct. 1, 2006, are worth between $2,400 and $3,600 – or more per year,
depending on miles driven and the contractor’s capacity type.
The 2006 increases come on the heels of big increases in 2005 and 2004. Combined, the increases in 2004, 2005, and 2006 are worth about $10,000 in higher pay per year to the average Dart contractor – and much more for high mileage producers.
“Dart knows what it takes to make contractors successful because we’ve been working with owner-operators for over 70 years,” says Elaine Briles, director of recruiting at Dart’s Dallas Operating Center.
