Cadec Global LLC, the New Hampshire-based provider of Mobile Information Systems for the transportation industry, has been awarded a patent for its Split-screen Global Positioning (GPS) and Electronic Tachograph (ETOG) feature.

Cadec’s patented ETOG feature offers a distinctive combination of second by second speed, rpm and location that is viewed on a graphical single screen. “Being able to visually link speed and rpm data with vehicle location in an intuitive manner is a unique feature of the Cadec system that helps customers quickly investigate incidents,” said Bruce Olsen, chief technology advisor for Cadec.
“It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and nothing in the industry gives fleet managers such a powerful picture as ETOG,” added Tom Lemke, executive vice president. “Managers with responsibilities for planning fleet operations now have the ultimate tool to visualize what is really going on with their vehicles. When it comes to accident investigation or public reports of speeding or other poor driving habits, managers now have precise and objective data to make informed decisions.“
Cadec is a Cadec Global company, which develops Mobile Information Systems for fleets in the transportation industry. Cadec was the first company to provide the industry with automated Department of Transportation (DOT) driver logs and automated collection of miles for state fuel tax reporting.
