Using SkyBitz’s trailer tracking system just got easier. SkyBitz, a leading satellite-based trailer tracking and information management service, and TravelCenters of America have announced an agreement
that TA will sell and replace SkyBitz batteries at travel centers across the nation.
This new partnership will allow SkyBitz’s 170 customers to conveniently change their Mobile Terminal batteries on the road.
“SkyBitz provides services that put the needs of its customers first,” said Roni Taylor, executive vice president, marketing, SkyBitz. “Even though our batteries only need to be changed once every few years, we learned that our customers want a convenient, on-the-road solution. TA’s extensive network of centers across North America enables us to provide another valuable service to our customers.”
TA will offer a battery replacement service to SkyBitz customers by replacing internal Mobile Terminal batteries or installing new external batteries, which have an even longer battery life. SkyBitz’s Mobile Terminals consume very little power and the batteries last for years. This added TA service gives SkyBitz customers a convenient, easy way to maintain their Global Locating System (GLS) power source. Ohio-based TA will stock and change SkyBitz batteries at more than 161 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
