Sterling Truck Corp. announced that Vac-Con Inc. recently accepted delivery of its 1,000th Sterling truck from Atlantic Truck Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Vac-Con, which manufactures truck-mounted sewer cleaning machines, has been purchasing Sterling trucks from the dealership for eight years.
Vac-Con's purchases primarily include Sterling L-Line and Acterra trucks with Caterpillar engines, which are then upfitted with combination vacuum/water tanker bodies. Sold through Vac-Con's international dealer network, the trucks are used by local governments and private contractors. The 1000th truck is part of the largest single domestic order Vac-Con has received – 21 trucks from Miami-Dade County.
