The Air-Weigh in-dash on-board truck scale is now offered as a factory option for Mack Truck highway models with air rear suspensions.

“The Air-Weigh scale system takes the guesswork out of loading, which helps our customers maximize their time on the road while minimizing fines and fees,” said Jerry Warmkessel, Mack highway products manager. “Mack is pleased to offer self-weighing tractors to its customers.”
Adding Air-Weigh improves productivity and reduces operating costs and delays caused by check-weighing. The Air-Weigh system consists of an in-dash gauge and a remote trailer scale. Air-Weigh’s gauge displays steer, drive and lift axle weights, up to seven trailer suspension weights if equipped, GVW and net payload weight. An alarm output is standard and can be connected to a light or audible indicator.
The Air-Weigh on-board scale is a true load management system that is calibrated to each vehicle’s suspension. Once calibrated, the Air-Weigh scale displays the weight of the axle group to within 300 pounds of a DOT certified scale.
When an Air-Weigh equipped tractor picks up a trailer with an Air-Weigh scale, the trailer weight data is automatically sent to the truck’s in-dash weight gauge and is included in the GVW and net payload weights.
The Air-Weigh AW5800 series scale system is now available on any Mack Vision model with rear air suspension. Interested customers are requested to contact their local Mack dealer for pricing and ordering information.
