XATA Corp., a leader in onboard fleet management systems for private fleet transportation, announced the company has expanded into several new industry verticals with its XATANET fleet management system.

These new verticals include pet products, auto parts, baked goods and specialty foodservice distribution. XATA has been selected by customers in each of these verticals for its unique ability to configure XATANET to match the requirements of these diverse business operations without the time and cost normally associated with customizing software.
"The thing we like about XATANET is that we can tailor the system to what we're looking for," said David Bader, vehicle transportation coordinator, Hot Stuff Foods. "As we've been getting more into the system, we're expecting more out of it."
Increasing numbers of small and midsize businesses are evaluating the benefits of using a hosted solution for fleet technology to ease the headaches of installing, customizing and managing complex software. Web-based fleet management enables companies to deploy applications that benefit their business faster at a lower total cost.
"The addition of these new and diverse verticals further demonstrates the momentum XATA is gaining with fleets of all-sizes and vocations," said Craig Fawcett, XATA chairman and CEO. "We are pleased with the acceptance XATANET continues to receive in the broader 3.5 million private truck fleet market."
XATA systems automatically collect, transform and deliver fleet intelligence throughout the enterprise in an interactive, exception-based format – unifying all aspects of the fleet to set and achieve higher standards for efficiency, productivity, utilization and customer service.
