International Truck and Engine Corp. has announced the appointment of G. David Gerrard as president, CEO and dealer principal of Chicago International Trucks, one of the largest resources for new and used truck sales, leasing, rental, parts and service
support in the Midwest with nine locations and more than 400 employees.
Gerrard has more than 20 years experience in the commercial truck and school bus industries working with USF Corp. in Chicago, NationaLease in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., and Laidlaw Education Services in Naperville, Ill. Gerrard replaces Mark Johnson, who served as CEO for the past two years.
“I’m excited at the opportunity to grow the presence of the International brand in the company’s own backyard,” said Gerrard. “This is a signal that International is investing heavily in doing the right things in the marketplace to provide improved service and support to the thousands of commercial trucking customers who make the Chicago area one of the most important business hubs in the world.”
