GeoLogic Solutions, which provides multi-mode mobile communications and tracking systems to the transportation industry, said it has signed up 15 new customers to purchase its MobileMax wireless asset management solution.
GeoLogic Solutions Signs Up 15 New Customers

MobileMax utilizes both terrestrial- and satellite-based networks and reduces transportation companies’ operational costs while increasing their overall efficiency.
Among the 15 companies was River Valley Express of Russellville, Ark. “Cost was certainly a consideration in our decision to adopt GeoLogic’s MobileMax technology, but it was the system’s advanced features that really caught our attention,” said Tony Sparks, dispatch supervisor at River Valley Express. “In particular, the GPS-based maps with truck locations are outstanding and a great tool that helps us enhance our productivity and efficiency.”
Ryan Cunnius, IT manager and dispatch assistant at Western Transportation in Decatur, Texas, noted numerous reasons why the petroleum hauler also elected to install MobileMax in its entire fleet. In particular, he cited the desire to track vehicle locations for safety and security reasons, as well as to enhance customer service by eliminating guesswork and providing accurate, up-to-the-minute loading and delivery time information to customers.
“We looked at other systems before selecting GeoLogic’s MobileMax technology,” Cunnius said. “One of the ways this system stood out above the rest was in its multi-mode technology. With MobileMax, we’re not dependent on cellular systems, which may not have coverage in our entire operating area, or satellite systems that have lag time. With GeoLogic’s multi-mode technology we have the benefits of both worlds: the fastest, most reliable network and instant connectivity.”
The 15 contracts represent a wide range of companies from the transportation sector including Birky Farms, WLW Truck Leasing, TL Express, Petrosol International, Logistic One, Kebo Transportation, Black Hawk Express, Performance Trucking, Rowland Transportation and Moore Freight.
“2005 was a fantastic year for us,” said John Lewis, president and CEO of GeoLogic Solutions. “We believe the recent success we have enjoyed with signing new customers validates the acceptance of our products in the marketplace. Additionally, we have renewed contracts with some of our largest fleets and expect additional new business from product evaluations currently in progress. With the addition of Cingular’s GPRS high-speed data network to our communications offering, we are looking at 2006 to be a record-breaking year for us.”
