Pennsylvania-based F.T. Silfies Inc., a Mid-Atlantic dry bulk carrier, has chosen TMWSuite from TMW Systems as the enterprise management platform for its fleet.

Silfies said it selected TMWSuite to replace an in-house system that lacked the robust automation, reporting and integration capabilities that the carrier needs to accommodate anticipated growth. TMWSuite will also be used as the platform for other trucking companies acquired by Silfies’ parent company, Quantum Equity Partners.
“In my opinion, TMW has been one step ahead of the competition with respect to innovative designs,” said Silfies President & CEO Randy Sheeler, who had used TMWSuite for six years with a previous employer. “While other ERP providers are still developing some of the capabilities we needed, TMW already has them. This implementation will allow us to move into the world of ‘virtual dispatch.’ ”
With the implementation of TMWSuite, Silfies plans to eliminate several manual processes for dispatch, billing and settlement – allowing personnel to concentrate on more customer-focused issues. TMWSuite will also enable Silfies to integrate its mobile communications and imaging processes into a single system to achieve more operating efficiencies.
Additionally, Silfies is implementing ResultsNow by TMW, a web-based performance-monitoring application, to gain real-time visibility to such Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as revenue per mile, loaded mile ratio and asset utilization.
TMWSuite provides trucking companies and private fleets with an integrated suite of operations management software and services to address the end-to-end transportation process – from order entry through settlement to complete financials. The solution adapts to the customer’s business rules, allowing the organization to improve efficiencies and maximize profits, strengthen customer communication and enhance driver relationships.
