Maddocks Systems, which provides software solutions to the transportation and logistics industry, and SkyBitz, a leader in satellite-based asset monitoring and information management services,
have have announced a joint agreeement.
Under the new accord, Maddocks will use the SkyBitz’s Global Locating System (GLS) technology to power an advanced Trailer Module for Truckmate, its client server product designed to meet the needs of truckload, LTL, brokerage/logistics, bulk, intermodal and private carriers.
Maddocks Systems Inc. will use the SkyBitz trailer tracking system to provide customers with improved operational efficiencies. The system will be able to alert the customer if a trailer is misrouted and reduce out of route miles. The module will also allow fleets to reduce their trailer to tractor ratio.
