GE Commercial Finance, the business-to-business financial services unit of General Electric, announced it has agreed to fund a new $280-million inventory floor plan financing facility for Rush Enterprises Inc.

The facility covers a number of truck lines – including Peterbilt, GMC, Nissan, Isuzu and Hino – sold by Rush through its network of dealerships across the United States. The deal closed on Sept. 21, 2005.
For GE Commercial Finance, Transportation Finance, the deal extends its lending relationship with Rush Enterprises to more than $300 million. In addition, the deal expands GE's trucking market reach, diversifies its customer base and creates further opportunities to expand into the inventory floor plan financing space.
