SkyBitz – a leading satellite-based trailer tracking and information management service – announced the addition of two Missouri-based fleets to its roster of more than 140 customers.

Christenson Transportation Inc. and Colonial Freight Warehouse have implemented SkyBitz’s Global Locating System (GLS) technology for increased trailer utilization and asset control. With the addition of these new customers, there are now 51,000 SkyBitz Mobile Terminal units operating in North America.
“Technology improvements are crucial to how a fleet operates in today’s economy. Our business relies on trailers on the road transporting goods, not sidelined by a time consuming and costly implementation,” said Don Christenson, president, Christenson Transportation. “The ability to have the SkyBitz Mobile Terminal units up and running quickly enabled us to enhance our existing capabilities and provide extra security and visibility into our customer’s loads.”
In addition, Colonial Freight Warehouse, a family owned and operated transportation service company providing services in the Eastern half of the United States, will use SkyBitz to decrease the company’s trailer to tractor ratio.
