Mack Trucks Inc. customers affected by Hurricane Katrina can take advantage of a payment assistance program from Mack Commercial Finance to skip payments until Jan. 1, 2006.

The program, called Hurricane Help, is available to Mack Commercial Finance customers who reside in counties designated as Hurricane Katrina disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Customers in these counties who meet the program parameters have been automatically entered into this payment assistance program. The skipped payments will be added to the end of the contract without additional interest or penalty.
Any Mack Commercial Finance customer affected by Hurricane Katrina should call (877) 865-8623, ext. 4026 for assistance. However, any customers who experienced a total equipment loss should contact their insurance company first.
“The program is designed to help ease the burden of those affected by Hurricane Katrina as they work to rebuild their lives,” said Frank O’Sullivan, Mack Commercial Finance business development manager.
