Georgia-based LTL carrier Saia, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCS Transportation Inc., has been named a winner for "Business Evolution Through Mobilizing Field Workers" in the Mobile & Wireless World's "Best Practices in Mobile & Wireless" Award Program.

The 2005 award honored companies – including Saia, Cox Communications, Staples Inc. and Maytag – with strategic enterprise mobile and wireless technology solutions in four categories: Deploying Wireless Mobility in the Enterprise, Transforming the "Brick and Mortar" of the Enterprise, Business Evolution Through Mobilizing Field Workers and Managing Cellular Mobile Data. The event is owned and produced by IDG's Computerworld.
Saia Chief Information Officer Mark Robinson said that the award signifies the advancements made by Saia in offering industry-leading technological services.
