Terion Inc., Plano, Texas, announced that the Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity has certified Terion’s FleetView 2 and FleetView 3 trailer tracking and management systems for use in van type trailers carrying Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance
(HERO) cargo.
This certification qualifies FleetView for use in trailers used to transport munitions.
“Our customers are focused on improving utilization and tracking and securing trailers that carry various types of cargo. The HERO certification is another enhancement to our diverse offering,” said Ken Cranston, president and CEO of Terion.
Terion’s FleetView 3 trailer fleet management system combines a high-bandwidth digital wireless path with intelligent messaging and sensor capabilities. Typical benefits associated with FleetView include an increase in trailer utilization and a reduced trailer-to-tractor ratio. Information is provided to the user over the Internet through Terion's patented hardware and software design. The design integrates GPS and digital CDMA cellular technology for coverage throughout the United States and Canada.
