Joe Mejaly, vice president and general manager of ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket business, told Brazilian truck industry journalists "complete aftermarket support and an expanded parts portfolio" is vital to the growing, successful fleet operations in Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.

His comments were made July 7 at an ArvinMeritor press briefing during the Automec exposition, held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The five-day, bi-annual show with 1,300 exhibitors drew more than 85,000 people involved in truck-trailer commercial vehicles' operations.
"We have been in South American commercial vehicle aftermarket for over eight years, witnessed continual growth and expansion of services, and remain firmly committed to our aftermarket growth on behalf of our growing customer base. The customers deserve the quality and dependability of Meritor, Euclid, Arvin and Fumagalli products for their axles, brakes, drivelines, wheels and exhaust systems," Mejaly said.
ArvinMeritor's South American aftermarket business/distribution operations is in Osasco, Brazil, a suburb of Sao Paulo. The global business maintains substantial operations in United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
