Arctic Express, Hilliard, Ohio, has signed a fleet agreement with IdleAire. The agreement gives the Ohio-based fleet a 15% discount of the retail hourly rate
and allows their drivers to use the fleet’s fuel card to pay for IdleAire basic services.
The IdleAire Advanced Travel Center Electrification ShorePower system can be installed wherever long-haul trucks congregate and idle for extended periods, including travel centers, fleet terminals and distribution centers. The system allows drivers to shut off their engines instead of idling by providing electrical outlets, filtered central heat & air, and a variety of communications and entertainment options, including a Pentium-speed computer with color touch screen interface, unlimited Internet and e-mail access, satellite television, movies on demand, wireless Internet and, in the future, other wireless services.
