ABC News reported that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is preparing to release a new study on distracted driving.
According to ABC, Virginia Tech conducted research using hidden cameras to monitor 241 drivers every day for a year. Of the 69 crashes recorded, 80% were caused by drivers who were distracted. Among the distractions were other passengers in the car, personal grooming, eating and wireless devices.
