Terion Inc., Plano, Texas, announced that truckload carrier Knight Transportation has purchased FleetView 3, Terion's patented Cargo Sensor and Tractor ID for its fleet.
According to the Terion announcement, FleetView 3 will enable Knight to increase trailer utilization, reduce trailer-to-tractor ratio, improve cargo security, reduce fuel expense and increase driver satisfaction - among other benefits. FleetView 3 will be integrated into Knight's AS/400 dispatch and operations software to create a seamless working environment. "We determined that Terion's FleetView 3 product is significantly ahead of its competition as it offers a more accurate cargo sensor that measures the full length of the trailer, motion sensor intelligence resident in the unit, as well as the ability to enhance the security of our customers cargo,” said Kevin Knight, chairman and CEO of Knight Transportation.
