Various news agencies reported Wednesday that Microsoft has introduced a new version of its Windows operating system for wireless devices such as handheld computers and cellphones.
Mobile 5.0 adds features, such as PowerPoint viewing, while enabling the use of typewriter keyboards and larger hard drives. Other features include updates to the mobile versions of Microsoft Word and Excel that better maintain the formatting of documents created on a computer and allow charts to be created from a spreadsheet.
