According to the Associated Press, Michael Scanlon saw a tractor-trailer hit the overhead canopy at a gas station last Wednesday in Castle Creek, N.Y., north of Binghamton.
Scanlon followed the truck and blocked its path as it tried to get on Interstate 81. The trucker reportedly rammed Scanlon's car.
When troopers arrived they arrested the unidentified truck driver charging him with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
