The RFID Survival Summit will be held over two days and is split into three parts: Overview, Middleware and Labels/Printers. The RFID Survival Summit includes:
* An RFID Overview Attendees will learn the basics about RFID hardware and software and see how RFID is used in different applications as well as information about standards that are in the process of development.
* RFID Applications The opportunity to see first hand how RFID is being used in different markets and receive practical information about how RFID is helping businesses differentiate themselves from their competitors.
* Review and Demonstration of EPC Middleware Middleware makes RFID practical since it filters out unnecessary data from RFID readers. Demonstrations on how Middleware is used to manage data, will be shown in both a proprietary system and using Electronic Product Code.
* Review and Demonstration of Labels in RFID RFID labels are a vital component to the EPC system. Attendees will see a live demonstration of how RFID labels can be used to track different products from case to pallet load through the supply chain.
* Review and Demonstration of RFID Printers Printers are a crucial part of the EPC initiative and in many RFID Applications. Attendees will see an actual demonstration of how a printer, using application software, prints and programs and applies an RFID label.
The RFID Survival Summit is included as part of the full registration for the Distribution Business Management Conference; however, professionals can also choose to register for only the RFID Survival Summit if they wish. As part of either a full or RFID Survival Summit registration, attendees also have access to the Dynamic Distribution Lab, a purpose built working warehouse exhibit, and the Eastern Material Handling Show, all part of Dynamic Distribution East.
