The Truckload Carriers Assn. awarded the 2004 National Fleet Safety Awards at the association’s annual convention held in Las Vegas last week.

Marten Transport Ltd., Mondovi, Wisconsin, won in the category of companies operating over 25 million miles annually. Pottle's Transportation Inc., Bangor, Maine, won in the category of companies operating under 25 million miles annually. TCA presented the awards to Robert Smith, COO of Marten Transport, and Barry Pottle, president of Pottle's Transportation.
The two were selected from among 18 division winners in the National Fleet Safety Division Awards announced in January. Both companies strive to meet stringent standards in their overall safety programs, on and off highway, and were judged to be the best in their commitment to improving safety on our nation's highways.
