According to NBC Channel 6 in Miami, the Florida Department of Transportation will be putting up signs on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade County telling commercial trucks to stay out of the left lane.
The signs will go up along 27 miles of the Turnpike in Miami-Dade County, from I-75 to Caribbean Boulevard where DOT will begin the new left lane restriction. As part of the new restrictions, truckers are going to have to move and stay out of the left-hand SunPass lane as well.
Officials said there will be a grace period after which ticketing will begin.
