Dynamex Implements Custom Enterprise Technology

Dynamex Inc., Dallas, Texas,a same-day delivery and logistics service in the U.S. and Canada announced it has launched DECS
- an acronym for Dynamex Enterprise Computer System.
The launch came at the company's Dallas Business Center last week. An aggressive implementation will begin immediately for all other Dynamex locations.
DECS was designed to:
* Quickly customize order entry and dispatch capabilities to meet the constantly changing needs of our operations and customers.
* Enhance our ability to provide customers with customized scanning, distribution and mobile data tracking and tracing solutions.
* Improve the reliability and availability of our systems.
* Enhance the security capabilities.
* Accelerate custom development requests from customers by reducing our dependence on third party vendors.
* Integrate GPS and route optimization technologies in the near term.
"DECS is a proprietary software solution available only to Dynamex customers, and is designed specifically to meet the needs of Dynamex customers," said Andy Argento, Dynamex vice president of information systems.
