The Used Truck Assn. will present a program of early career training in truck products, components and selling skills.

The course is called Fundamentals of Used Truck Sales.
According to the UTA announcement, the course will help improve sales volume, increase gross profits, generate greater employee loyalty, increase career longevity and reduce employee turnover.
Subjects to be covered include:
* the used truck buyer and industry
* speaking & understanding truck jargon
* truck types, makes & models
* truck components & how they work
* truck & component applications & vocations
* finding information & using available resources
* basic weight distribution
* important performance calculations
* building successful relationships
* buyer motivations and hot buttons
* successfully qualify prospects
* selecting & recommending trucks
* selling out of your inventory
* uccessful presentation skills
* building value into the sale
* closing deals
* appraising used trucks
* calculating payments & finance trucks
* goal setting & time management.
The course will be held at the Holiday Inn, Atlanta Airport, Atlanta, Ga., April 18-21, 2005. Tuition is $695, materials cost $96 and the UTA room rate is $99.95 a night. UTA members receive a 1% discount on tuition.
