MarketWatch on Thrusday reported that UPS will close its Dayton, Ohio, air freight hub, eliminating about 1,400 jobs.

UPS acquired the hub in December when it bought Menlo Worldwide Forwarding. The company said it closing the facility to eliminate duplicate services.
According to MarketWatch, the Dayton closing will have no impact on the UPS package service, which handles parcels weighing less than 150 pounds.
