Today is Presidents Day, a holiday for some, but not all.

According to our very informal poll of web sites, the U.S. Postal Service has the day off. So do our federal regulators and many state offices.
It’s a holiday for Roadway operations in New England, the Philidelphia area, New York / New Jersey, Northern New England and the Western States, but UPS is apparently working everywhere.
We tried to find holiday schedules on the Fedex, Yellow, Schneider and J.B.Hunt web sites, but came up empty. Our guess: they’re probably working. If you deal with them, call to be sure.
Meanwhile, many banks are closed – including Bank of America, at least in the states where we checked -- as well as Wachovia, up and down the East Coast.
If you have the day off, well thanks for stopping by Truckinginfo.com
If your working, give it your best.
We’ll be back with full coverage tomorrow, Tuesday, February 22, 2005.
