Ohio Turnpike workers have ratified a three-year contract averting a strike like the one that brought flat rate tolls to the Pennsylvania Turnpike
late last year.
The Teamsters local president called the Ohio Turnpike pact an “outstanding victory,” at least in part.
The Ohio Turnpike Commission web site offered a statement by Turnpike Executive Director Gary C. Suhadolnik: “We were able to reach a fair contract that is satisfactory to both parties. We anticipate the commission will vote to accept this agreement at its Feb. 22 meeting.”
