FaxEnable installs in minutes and can operate while a vehicle is in motion. It connects using off-the-shelf office equipment and can store up to 14 pages. The FaxEnable series utilizes error correction and retransmission in the event of a lost cellular signal to guarantee reliable delivery of the complete fax.
According to Randy Jones, Molex strategic product manager, the shift from analog to digital has made it virtually impossible for many existing applications to function with each other. “To overcome these challenges, Molex invested seven years of research and development into the TelEnable technology that is at the core of the FaxEnable series,” he said.
The FaxEnable series currently offers three versions, which include:
FaxEnable SRI (Send/Receive with Inverter) This unit transmits and receives and includes a built-in 12V-to-120V inverter to power a typical non-laser fax machine. It can be powered via a standard cigarette lighter adapter.
FaxEnable SRP (Send/Receive Portable) Contained in a water resistant case and powered by a rechargeable battery, this unit is the portable version of the FaxEnable SRI module.
FaxEnable Hub Capable of handling up to four simultaneous landline connections to mobile units, the hub is normally located at the customer data center and acts as the decoder for the mobile units.
FaxEnable products are currently being used by N&M Transfer Co., Inc., Neenah, Wis., to quickly process bills of lading.
“In our business operation it is crucial to process the bill of lading as soon as possible,” said Kevin Pawlacyk, N&M Transfer president. “Before implementing FaxEnable, it would take up to eight hours to begin the process, depending on the driver’s route. We are now able to send bills of lading directly from our trucks to the operations center. Not only is it easy-to use, we also increased our productivity by immensely minimizing the processing time. By streamlining our processes, we now have the freedom to better serve our customers.”
FaxEnable speeds the process of receiving permits by eliminating time wasted at weigh stations and border crossings.
The FaxEnable series offers auto correction and buffer management to ensure a clear and reliable picture quality fax output. Its rugged design provides resistance to shock, vibration and EMI
(electro magnetic interference), while data encryption features ensure secure signal transmissions.
The retail price for the FaxEnable SRI unit is $895.
