The ATA has compiled a list of locations where hazmat drivers can go for fingerprinting required by the Transportation Security Administrations’s security threat assessment procedure.

One TSA contractor, Integrated Biometrics Technologies, has created a list of fingerprint collection sites in the states where it is the selected contractor.
Those states are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
According to the ATA, Integrated Biometrics Technologies will create a new website at www.hazprints.com and will provide a drivers' help desk at (877) 429-7746. The services should be functional on or about January 31, 2005, when the implementation date for the TSA hazmat endorsement rules.
The ATA said it is compiling fingerprint locations that will be used by the 17 states that did not contract with Integrated Biometrics Technologies. On its Web site Friday, ATA said Kansas has designated 8 locations, Kentucky has designated 8 locations, Mississippi has designated 13 locations, Pennsylvania has designated 81 locations, and Virginia has designated 12 locations.
The ATA list in Microsoft Excel format can be found on the ATA web site at www.truckline.com. Click on Public Affairs, then on Press Releases and finally on “TSA Contractor Selects HazMat Fingerprint Collection Sites.”
