The board of directors of the Council of Fleet Specialists has announced the establishment of a scholarship fund to honor industry veteran Leon Settles
who passed away on January 24 following a prolonged illness. He was 82.
Settles founded his company Weldon Parts (originally short hand for Well Done) in 1955 and guided its development in Oklahoma City for many years. He was one of the founders and early driving forces of CFS. Weldon Parts today has grown to ten locations in four states.
Scholarship donations will benefit undergraduate students enrolled in Northwood University¹s Heavy-Duty Aftermarket Management Program at all three of their campuses.
