The American Trucking Assns. has announced that Waste Industries USA Inc. will use ATA’s TMC FleetPortal service to manage technical maintenance information for its large fleet of specialized waste disposal and recycling services equipment.

TMC FleetPortal is provided by ATA’s Technology and Maintenance Council and
offers the trucking and heavy equipment industries a secure, easy-to-use parts and maintenance information utility customized to individual fleets.
TMC FleetPortal provides fleet maintenance personnel with rapid, online access to illustrated parts catalogs, repair and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts information letters, and internally generated documents as well as TMC Recommended Practices and Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards codes (VMRS 2000TM).
Waste Industries is based in Raleigh, N.C., and operates more than 30 collection operations in the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. The company operates a fleet of more than 700 specialized side/front/rear-load recycling and roll-off commercial vehicles, along with landfill equipment including bulldozers, tractors, packers and transport vehicles.
Waste Industries joins Southeastern Freight Lines, Morgan Southern, Maverick Transportation Inc., Verizon Communications and others as launch users of TMC FleetPortal.
