GeoLogic Solutions announced last week that LTL carrier Southeastern Freight Lines has selected GeoLogic to deliver its next-generation wireless communications solution.
Major LTL to Install Customized MobileMax MultiMode System

With several hundred units already deployed, Southeastern plans to equip its entire pickup-and-delivery fleet of nearly 2,000 trucks with a customized version of the company’s MobileMax Multi-Mode system. MobileMax combines satellite and terrestrial networks in a single solution.
The customized solution integrates the carrier’s handheld computer and vehicle applications with the multi-mode network services, mobile applications and hardware based on GeoLogic’s MobileMax system.
Dispatch, GPS location reports, two-way messaging, barcode scanning, package tracking, and cross-dock operations are among the applications and features provided in the system. Southeastern and GeoLogic have been testing and refining the solution for more than a year, and the carrier has now announced its plans to accelerate deployment of its entire fleet.
Southeastern Freight Lines is based in Lexington, S.C. and serves the Atlantic region and southern United States.
GeoLogic Solutions, Owings Mills, Md., was formerly known as the Transportation Division of Aether Systems.
