In ceremonies recently held at Northwood University in Midland, Mich., Douglas S. Thomson, vice president of sales and marketing for Sloan Transportation Products (center), congratulated Matthew Dorr (left) and Richard Ender for receiving the first Heavy Duty Aftermarket scholarships.

Sloan sponsors the scholarships designated for students pursuing careers in the heavy-duty aftermarket. Dorr, a junior from Hemlock, Mich., and Ender, a senior from Portage, Mich., will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Sloan is a QS-9000 certified company that supplies OE-quality air and electrical components. Earlier this year, the company announced more than 600 new part numbers designed to broaden the company’s parts coverage in the heavy-duty aftermarket.
Sloan is based in Holland, Mich.
