Psion Teklogix, KonaWare and Accord Software announced last week that they plan to deliver a complete mobile computing solution for the LTL industry.

Psion provides mobile computing, wireless data collection and RFID solutions. KonaWare provides software platforms that work over various mobilecom modes. Accord Software provides the actual operations software.
The system includes the KonaWare Transportation Suite; Accord's Centerline Software; Psion Teklogix' netpad, a rugged mobile computing device with a high-resolution color touch screen, and Psion Teklogix' WORKABOUT PRO, a rugged entry-level hand-held computer.
The new solution will operate over a standard wireless network.
According to the announcement, the system will help small and medium trucking fleets move from paper-based reporting to automated processes, improving pick-up and delivery times, reducing paperwork, and increasing fleet visibility.
