U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced that registration for its annual Trade Symposium, scheduled for January 13 is nearing capacity.
The agency said it already has nearly 400 confirmed registrants since November 1st.
The event will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. and will open with a pre-registration reception on the evening of January 12. The event will include discussions between senior Customs and Border Protection managers and representatives of the international trade and transportation community. Panels for the symposium will include a Department of Homeland Security/Border and Transportation Security Executive roundtable, Trade Act of 2002 implementation, Bioterrorism Act of 2002, the Container Security Initiative, and the Automated Commercial Environment.
Registration for the symposium must be made online at www.cbp.gov. The registration fee is $150.
