The Intermodal Assn. of North America presented its 2004 Silver Kingpin Award to Raymond W. Tippit, Sr.

Tippit is a long-time employee of and currently senior consultant to Mi-Jack Products Inc., manufacturer of intermodal rail and port lift equipment.
The Silver Kingpin Award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to advancing the intermodal freight transportation industry.
The award was presented Monday during the Joint Opening General Session of the 2004 Intermodal Expo, the Nation Industrial Transportation League’s TransComp, and the Tire Industry Assn.’s Fall Conference
According to the IANA announcement, Tippit has been an enthusiastic educator in the area of terminal operations. His expertise was earned re-engineering some of the most challenging rail terminals across the U.S.
“Ray Tippit is a founding board member of IANA, and his unwavering dedication to intermodalism has made him an invaluable advocate of the association,” said Joni Casey, IANA president & CEO.
