Grote Industries announced that Consumer Reports magazine has rated Grote’s obstacle detection system as the No. 1 sensor-based vehicle backup system.

The ratings, published in the October issue, were based on sensitivity, how good the model was at detecting objects, and display usefulness, the effectiveness of the visual and audible warning devices.
Grote’s obstacle detection system contains flat sensor technology that provides 150° of horizontal field vision up to seven feet and monitors back-up zones nine times per second. It also has an automatic self-test, which assures the driver that the system is working when it is activated.
Consumer Reports, published by Consumers Union since 1936, has over one million subscribers and is arguably the best known and most trusted independent source of consumer information in the United States.
