Rush Enterprises to Purchase Dallas and Nashville Peterbilt Dealers

Rush Enterprises Inc., San Antonio, Texas, announced that, in connection with its acquisition of American Truck Source Inc., it will acquire Peterbilt dealerships in Dallas, Texas, and Nashville Tennessee.

Peterbilt Motors Co. advised Rush Enterprises that it does not intend to exercise its rights of first refusal with respect to the sale of Dallas Peterbilt or Nashville Peterbilt. The two dealerships constitute approximately 82% of the total assets of American Truck Source.
However, Peterbilt provided notice of exercise of its right of first refusal with respect to the purchase of Louisville Peterbilt and Birmingham Peterbilt.
Rush Enterprises continues to negotiate with Peterbilt to reach an agreement regarding the valuation of the assets of Louisville Peterbilt and Birmingham Peterbilt. According to the announcement, Rush Enterprises believes that it will be able to reach agreement with Peterbilt.
Rush Enterprises operates Peterbilt heavy-duty truck dealerships in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama and Florida as well as a John Deere construction equipment dealership in Houston, Texas.
